CHAMPAGNE STUDIOS / PORTRAITS
Every country has breathtaking vistas, interesting architecture, and wonderfully crafted works of art. It is therefore through the locals that a person may discover the treasures unique to each culture. Language is not as important as are smiles. A digital camera can be indispensable in providing lasting images of the heart. Watching children jump up and down at seeing their own portraits, possibly for the first time, good naturedly pushing each other to get a better view, and then showing their own parents the camera that has captured their images are worth all the mosquitos and hikes in the 100+ degree days.

Conversations with adults may happen before or after a photograph is taken. It all depends on the moment. Learn something from the people of their lives, past or present, or of their children. Each image then becomes a part of the photographer, and holds its own memory independent of the image and is thus longer lasting.

With forty-three distinct nationalities, many with their own languages written and spoken, China is far from being homogenous. Distinct cultures are found most abundantly in the south, while Chinese influences can be seen throughout southeast Asia.
